Top tips & recipes from my favourite vegan foodie accounts!

To celebrate the end of Veganuary and to help you find some more people with some great vegan foodie inspo,  I’ve asked some of my favourite vegan foodie accounts to share their top tips, best snacks & their favourite recipes on their Instagram page!

@hungryyvegann

(Me!)

Favourite Recipe:

My Mediterranean vegetable pasta recipe is my ALL  time fave! Find here or here.

Top Tips:

Understand your why! For me this is the animals – I follow lots of animal sanctuaries on Instagram and love any chance to interact with animals while I’m out and about etc (which is why there’s so many animal photos on my insta stories)!

Don’t give up if you find it difficult to replicate the exact taste of non-vegan food at first! Eg enjoy tofu for what it is! and don’t be scared to try new things you’ve never heard of!

And when you visit somewhere new, search for vegan independent restaurants & cafes!

Fave snack:

Maryland vegan cookies or yoghurt + red grapes + granola!

@buddhabowlbeth

Favourite Recipe:

If you love breakfast oats, Beth’s page is the place to be! Raspberry Cheesecake oats are Beth’s top choice & you can find the recipe here

Top Tips:

Don’t be scared to make mistakes as it’s part of the learning, don’t be afraid to ask for help from other vegans and watch documentaries to help give your transition more reasoning. This will make it  more personal to you, and with these reasons you will be more likely to stick to it!

Fave Cafe:

Costa is Beth’s go to as there are usually plenty of vegan options to chose from (plus there’s never one too far away)!

Favourite Recipe:

If you’ve been dreaming of recreating that primary school cake tray bake this is your go to! The recipe Ani recommends is from Emily’s World and is linked here. I am yet to make it but I hear its been approved by non-vegan family too!

Top Tips:

Every little bit helps, even if you can’t go vegan straight away, you can still make a big difference!

Fave snack:

Salted caramel trek flapjacks or peanut butter toast + apple +  granola

@whatliaeats

Favourite Recipe:

Such a hard decision! Lia’s favourite has to be Chargrilled miso cabbage and the recipe is linked here. But apart from that, ALL savoury brunches!

Top Tips:

Try to get your hands on some Kecap Manis (Indonesian sweetened soy sauce)! Lia gets it from her local Chinese/Asian supermarket and puts it in loads of her dishes!

Also, while you’re there, grab some gyozas, tofu, rice, noodles etc as they’re often cheaper here and more authentic!

Fave Vegan Independent:

Maray in Liverpool is a small plate restaurant. Small Plate’s are Lia’s favourite as its way more fun and sociable!

@beckys.bowl

Favourite Recipe:

Any dishes involving noodles are a favourite! But Becky’s top recipe is spicy satay noodles and the can be found here

Top Tips:

Start off with easy vegan meals like stir-fry, curry and pasta & then you can start experimenting with different alternatives to recreate your favourite classics! Anything can be veganised!

Fave Snack:

ANYTHING dipped in hummus!!

@veganplantfoods

Favourite Recipe:

Any kind of creamy pasta dish! Nat’s favourite is a creamy carbonara using THIS isnt bacon and alpro soy cream because it’s so quick to make! and you can find the recipe here

Top Tips:
